Resto Ngalam serves traditional dishes from Malang, the second largest city of East Java Province. The restaurant is located in fX Sudirman, which is a relatively small mall with mainly restaurants and some outlet stores.

The dishes: mie hijau, mie merah and pecel

We ordered mie hijau (green noodles), mie merah (red noodles) and 'pecel', (vegetable dish with water spinach or Kangkung, bean sprout, cabbage, tofu and chili peanut sauce). The dishes were simple but nice and tasty. I liked their fried dumplings (Pangsit Goreng) and variety of 'krupuk'.

The restaurant: simple, modern Javanese-style restaurant

The restaurant is large and not crowded. Actually, t was practically empty when I was there. There is enough space for large groups, though it lacks a bit of atmosphere for a family or friends gathering. It's just a simple, modern Javanese-style restaurant. All tables are non-smoking.
